Hilary produces three functional ranges. All of these are made using stoneware clay which makes it more durable. All three ranges are dishwasher, microwave and oven proof.

Each piece is hand thrown by Hilary Jenkinson on an electric potters wheel so each pot is unique. The next day each pot is then trimmed or handled and finished off. When the pots have fully dried out, which takes about 4 days, they are then put in the kiln for biscuit firing. This firing goes to 1000 degrees celcius and takes 12hrs to reach that temperature and another 12hrs to cool down.The pots are now quite hard but still porous and are then dipped in to the different glaze colours.The celtic spiral decoration for the Moss and Cornflower ranges is sponged on while the lines on the Silk range are hand painted on. The pots are then put in to the kiln again and are fired to 1260 degrees celcus. This whole process from start to finish takes approximately two weeks .

Hilary also designs and creates specialised pieces for galleries and commissions. These are all one off creations and vary greatly with elaborate use of glazes and coloured lustre's. Lustre is liquid metal that is hand painted on and then the pot is put into the kiln for a third firing to 700 degrees celcius.
